Part-Time Students:

If you are a resident of Ireland then please contact us for more information.

If you are NOT a resident of Ireland then the fees are as follows:
€80 per credit/hour

For Example: a 1-credit class would be €80, a 2-credit class would be €160, and a 3-credit class would be €240

We don’t currently have a scheme for part time students to live “on campus”. If you intend to study part time then you should arrange for your own room and board in Waterford City.

Audit Students

€20 one-time registration fee (non-refundable)

€30 per class

While you will get no official credit for auditing a class, if you meet all of the requirements — assignments, papers, tests, etc. — then you will be given a tentative grade and may be able to upgrade to a full credit class in the future by paying the difference in price.

Please keep in mind that a class may be closed for auditing at the discretion of the school for various reasons.

Audit students must contact the school and register for each class a minimum of two weeks before the first day of classes begin.

What’s Included

Full-Time On-Campus Tuition rate includes the following:

Housing: provided for the duration of the semester, including a warm blanket (duvet and cover), pillow, and pillow case.

Meals: a meal budget and necessary cookware and eating utensils are provided for the duration of the semester. Students will use this budget to purchase and cook meals for themselves.

Term Trip: a tour of specific sites and locations around Ireland pertaining to early Irish Christianity. All expenses such as travel and food are included.

Internet: provided at the classroom(s) and library.

Transportation: if you arrive on the pre-arranged arrival date then your transportation from the Dublin International Airport to Waterford is included.

Visa: if you are from an EU or EEA country then there is no visa or stamp requirement. If you are from a non-EU/EEA country (like the U.S.), and are only staying for one term, then we have arranged with the local immigration to allow you to study on a standard 90-day visitor’s visa/stamp, which does not cost anything.

Here is a general list of what is NOT included in the tuition fees:

Books: we will provide a list of necessary books so that those traveling from outside Ireland may have the opportunity to purchase them and bring them. The books normally used in our classes are very difficult to get in Ireland so we require students from the U.S. to bring them. We will work with local students and those unable to bring the appropriate books with them. Please be sure to budget at least €100 for books in each term.

Visa: if you are a non-EU/EEA citizen and planning on attending for more than one term then plan on a minimum of €300 ($400) for a temporary visa/residence permit. This must be communicated with and approved by the school in advance.

Not applicable for European Union/EEA citizens

Applicable to new students intending on remaining for more than one semester

Transportation: depending on when you arrive, and mode of transport. If you arrived on the pre-arranged arrival date then your transportation from Dublin to Waterford is included. Otherwise you will need to arrange for your own transportation, which can be a minimum of €18 ($25) per person/each way. Your transportation upon departing at the end of the term is your responsibility.

Phone: students are encouraged to take advantage of the provided internet to make internet-based calls (Skype, Google Voice, etc.). Any long-distance or other fee-incurring use of phones will be charged to the student. Local mobile phones can be used for €10 to €20 per month and it is FREE to RECEIVE calls. So family can call from abroad, pay their long distance provider, and it will be free for the student to receive the call.

Bedding: each student is required to bring their own towel and basic bedding (bottom sheet, top sheet). These will not be provided by the school. They should be sized for a “single” (EU) or “twin” (US). The school WILL provide a warm blanket (duvet with cover), pillow, and pillow case.

Medical: you are responsible for your own medical treatment should the need arise. Some U.S.-based medical insurances have temporary coverage for outside of the U.S. Temporary medical insurance for travelers is widely available on the internet as well. Please take care to research and procure the appropriate insurance before coming. The nation of Ireland WILL NOT cover your medical expenses for you, and will not allow you into the country to study without sufficient evidence that you are covered (nor will this school). Based on some of the experiences of staff as missionaries in various countries we can mention some insurance providers used in the past. These are not recommendations, only names of known travel insurance providers: IMG (International Medical Group), Seven Corners, Clements Worldwide. We have seen policies as low as $100 for one full term (three months).

Other Fees

There are a couple of other miscellaneous fees to be prepared for:

Key Deposit: this is €10 and payable at the same time as tuition. It will be returned with the safe return of the key(s) at the end of the term. For each key lost you will forfeit the €10 deposit and owe another deposit upon receipt of the new key(s).

Library Fee: this covers the establishment, maintenance, and use of our school library. This fee is now included in the general tuition costs.

Technology Fee: this covers internet in the school classroom(s), and school library, as well as a basic landline for emergency use in the student dorms. This fee is now included in the general tuition costs.

Transportation Fee: this covers transportation to and from the Dublin International Airport on the designated day for arrivals each semester. This fee is now included in the general tuition costs.
